ASSARIA -- A minor earthquake shook part of southeastern Saline County east of Assaria early this morning.

A 2.4 magnitude quake struck at 2:59 a.m. Friday, according to the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS). The temblor was centered south of East Assaria Road nearly a half mile west of South Simpson Road, KGS reported.
