SEDGWICK COUNTY—A Kansas woman accused of a sex crime involving a minor is scheduled for a court appearance Monday.
Makaela Denny, 20 of Wichita, is charged with aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, and furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Police booked her into jail Jan. 31, in connection with an incident in October, according to court documents. Denny and two others were accused of engaging in sexual intercourse and other sexual activity with a victim who is a minor and was incapable of giving consent because of the effect of alcohol, which was allegedly provided by the suspect.
She posted the $100,000 bond and is no longer in custody. Her preliminary hearing is set for 10:30a.m. before Judge Quentin Pittman, according to the district attorney's office.
