SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a fatal shooting at a convenience store.
Just after 3:00 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a shooting at the Kwik Shop gas station, 746 NE Wabash Avenue in Topeka, according to Topeka Police Lt. Edward Stanley. First responders located one individual with life threatening injuries. Medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased on scene. Police released no additional details including the name of the victim or suspect information.
This is the city’s 4th homicide investigation of 2025, according to Stanley.
