WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Authorities investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred just after 12:30a.m. Saturday in Wyandotte County have identified the victim as Jacqueline Herrera Cruz, 18, Kansas City, Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Ford F150 driven by Robert Miguel Pendleton, 17, Kansas City, Kansas, was northbound on Interstate 635 one mile south of Interstate 70.
The pickup struck Cruz who was walking in lane one of the Interstate. She was pronounce dead at the scene and was transported to Forensic Medical.
