
KANSAS CITY—The survey of damage from the storm that struck the Kansas City area Friday night indicates the tornado was an F-0 in strength, according to the National Weather Service in Kansas City.

Shortly after 11:30pm on Friday, March 6, the EF-0 tornado occurred in a line of severe thunderstorms. According to the survey team, the tornado had a track of 7.97 miles and a maximum width of 50-yards. It began in Shawnee, Kansas and ended in Kansas City, Missouri shortly before Westport around 11:45pm.
The majority of damage was done to trees. There were no injuries reported.
