RAY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a weekend chase and crash.
On Saturday night, a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a stolen vehicle at 13 Highway and D Highway east of Kansas City, according to Sheriff Scott Childers.
A pursuit ensued and the vehicle crashed out in a field. After a foot chase two suspects, one from Hutchinson and another from Jackson County were apprehended.
Deputies recovered methamphetamine at the scene and both suspects were wanted on warrants outside of Ray County, according to the sheriff's office. Names of the suspects have not been released.
