
Production Foreman
Responsibilities
●Assist in Planning, management, and overseeing of all elements of production.
●Develop, draft, and recommend improved production processes particularly focused on waste elimination.
●Follow product specifications and quality control measures.
●Assist in developing best practices to increase speed, repeatability, and efficiency of processes without compromising quality.
●Assist in the development and implementation of quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results.
●Ensure all functions of production run smoothly and efficiently.
●Develop process improvements to effectively utilize equipment and materials to maximize production.
●Perform analysis and provide recommendations to reduce downtime.
●Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
●Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
●Assist in developing operating instructions and processes for production activities.
●Investigate problems, determine corrective actions, analyze root causes, and recommend resolutions.
●Assist in development, design, and supervision of production tooling projects.
●Assist in production goal planning, development, and execution.
●Ability to effectively lead production activities in multiple fast paced departments.
●Ability to read, interpret and train staff on production drawings.
●Ability to lead, guide, train, mentor, and coach supervisory personnel.
●Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules and regulations.
●Identify and correct unsafe operations and practices.
Job Requirements:
●Associates degree in Applied Science preferred.
●Familiarity with CAD software a plus.
●Proficiency using Microsoft office.
●5+ years proven experience in production and engineering environment.
●Previous supervisory experience required.
●Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mechanics and metal fabrication, welding, and machining in particular.
●Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
●Ability to effectively lead and direct employees.
●Detail-oriented and efficient.
●Ability to maintain positive relationships.
