JACKSON COUNTY —Authorities are investigating the cause of a rural Kansas house fire. Just after 2:30a.m. Monday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a house fire in the 8000 block of 254th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The Holton, Netawaka and Soldier Fire Departments and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
The residence appeared to be a total loss. No injuries were reported. The Kansas Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting with the investigation as to the cause of the fire.
