
JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Just after 3p.m. Dec. 3, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Nissan Sentra after allegedly committing a traffic infraction near 118th and U.S. Highway 75, according to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. Deputies located illegal drug contraband during the stop.

The passenger, Brandy Lee Martin, 40, of Topeka, was arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
Deputies arrested the driver, Todd Wayne Ray, 46, of Topeka, on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.
