Sheriff: More unlocked vehicles burglarized in Assaria

ASSARIA -- Another round of burglaries in unlocked vehicles has occurred in Assaria.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that four additional burglaries were reported to have occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday.

Soldan once again encouraged people to remove their valuables from their vehicles and to lock their vehicles.

According to Soldan, the following incidents occurred early Sunday morning.

●Two vehicles in the 100 block of West Fourth Street were entered and rummaged through, but nothing was missing.

●The center console was broken in a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Cox Way.

●A red leather purse valued at $75 and its contents, including a leopard print wallet and $50, were taken from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Cox Way.
