
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement continue to investigating several suspect in connection with multiple alleged crimes in the Kansas City Westport entertainment district.
On Friday night, officers were attempting to arrest an ATV driver who was breaking the law when a suspect(s) in a vehicle pointed a weapon at them, according to a statement from Kansas City Police. These suspects tried to flee, but could not. Officers arrested all four people in the vehicle, including juveniles.

Police recovered three guns. Felony charges are pending.
The officers involved were added to the KCPD Entertainment District Plan, which the department activated earlier than previous years. Extra officers will continue to be present in that district.

In total, Friday night into Saturday, KCPD arrested six criminals, towed two vehicles, seized five firearms, issued nine citations, issued four summons, and seized drugs.
According to Mayor Quinton Lucas, the KCPD Entertainment District Plan is bringing enforcement and consequences, including felony charges and seized vehicles, drugs and firearms, to those causing harm in the core of the city.
