KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating the death of a juvenile in Kansas City have identified the victim as 15-year-old Tacobe Kindred.
Just after 5p.m. Sunday patrol officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Bales in Kansas City on a reported shooting, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
First responders were directed to a home on the block. Inside they located a the boy suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began performing life saving measures and ordered emergency medical personnel to the scene.
EMS transported Kindred to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed there was an argument at a birthday party that led to shots being fired and the victim ultimately being struck. Detectives canvassed the area for potential witnesses and crime scene investigators are gathered any available physical evidence.
Kansas City police asks anyone with information about the shooting to call police or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS. There is a $25,000 reward for information provided through the TIPS Hotline that leads to an arrest in the case.
