SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a workplace incident that fatally injured 68-year-old David Adams of Towanda.
Just after 2:00 pm, Thursday, police were dispatched to an injury accident with a person pinned at a business in the 3200 block of West May in Wichita, according to Officer Chad Ditch.
Fire department units arrived on the scene first and located Adams unconscious and not breathing. He would be pronounced deceased on the scene.
The investigation revealed that Adams was working on a trailer. His coworkers came in and found him underneath the trailer with a portion of the axle on top of him.
Several coworkers helped remove Adams from under the axle and immediately called 911 and administered CPR. No foul play is expected at this time.
