Kan. game warden had to euthanize antelope shot, left to die

LANE COUNTY — On Sunday, November 13th, a concerned citizen reportedly found two antelope shot and left for dead in a winter wheat field on the Lane-Ness Road just north of Kansas 4 Highway in Lane County, according to a social media report from the Kansas Game Wardens.

Game wardens investigated and found one antelope to still be alive and had to euthanize it due to its wounds.

It is believed the antelope were shot sometime between midnight on Nov. 11 and before noon Nov. 13.
