
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident that led to man being critically injured near 21st and Parkwood in Wichita.

Just after 9:30p.m. Friday, police reported they had located the Silver Kia Optima, according to Officer Chad Ditch. Investigators continue to search for the 2007 Ford Focus.
Just before 8p.m., Thursday, police were dispatched to an injury accident involving a 54-year-old pedestrian. Officers arrived on the scene and located the victim conscious and breathing, according to Officer Chad Ditch. EMS transported the man to a local hospital in critical but stable condition..
The investigation revealed that the man was walking across 21st Street to the south when a westbound Silver KIA Optima struck him. The car has a Colorado plate BGGK55
After impact, the pedestrian landed in eastbound traffic and a maroon 2007 Ford Focus struck him. The Ford has a Kansas plate 337RNB. Both vehicles left the scene of the incident, according to Dith.
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating these vehicles as well as the owners and drivers of the vehicles.
