SUMNER COUNTY —According to the KanDriver map, the Kansas Turnpike reopened Monday afternoon after 6 inches of rain overnight Saturday into Sunday brought flooding that closed southbound lanes at an active construction location on Interstate 35/KTA, just north of the South Haven interchange.

Crews were quickly on the scene to assess the situation and make the needed repairs. While northbound traffic was able to reopen Sunday, southbound traffic opening was delayed due to the need for some pavement repair.
