MIAMI COUNTY, Kan. —A Kansas woman died in an accident just before 11:30a.m. Friday in Miami County.
The Miami County Sheriff reported a 2003 Mazda 3 driven by Natalie Dawn Lober O'Learay, 36, Wichita, was northbound on U.S. 169 between Crescent Hill Road and Bethel Church Road in rural Miami County.
The driver attempted to pass a vehicle and a semi and struck a southbound 2016 Chevy Equinox driven by Patty S. Landess, 78, Rantoul, head-on
Lober O'Leary was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported Landess and a passenger in the Chevy Richard C. Landess, 83, Rantoul, to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
