SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect for an alleged violent crime.
Just before noon Wednesday, police responded to a reported stabbing at 1st Street and Topeka Blvd. in Topeka, according to Police Lt. Edward Stanley.
First responders found a woman who was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. American Medical Response transported the victim to a local hospital.
As a result of the investigation, Kenneth H. Johnson, 46, of Topeka was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated Battery
