Kansas man accused of murder after victim stabbed multiple times

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal stabbing have a suspect in custody.

Just before 2a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to the 1000 block of East First Street in Wichita on report of a stabbing, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.

Upon arrival, officers located 25-year-old Trebeon Golston of Wichita unconscious with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. Officers began life-saving measures. EMS transported Golston to an area hospital with critical injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.

During the investigation, officers learned about a fight in front of a local establishment between Golston and a 38-year-old suspect identified as Jason Todd, according Sedgwick County booking records. During the fight Golston was stabbed multiple times.

This was not a random incident. Todd is being held on one count of first-degree murder, according to online jail records.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.
