SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on felony allegations after a high-speed chase.

Just after 10a.m. Tuesday, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a red 2013 Ford Raptor near NW Topeka Boulevard and NW Paramore Street for traffic violations, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

The driver refused to stop and fled the area at a high rate of speed into   Douglas County.

At 10:21a.m., deputies located the vehicle and driver just inside of Douglas County, parked at a dead end.

The driver, Mitchell Glynn, 61, of Topeka, was placed into custody. He received medical attention on scene and at a local hospital for self inflicted injuries he sustained when he attempted to exit the vehicle.

Glynn was then booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of felony interference with law enforcement, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, operating a vehicle without registration and transporting an open container of liquor. In addition, Glynn had four felony warrants for his arrest through Shawnee County.
