Trojan track continues to dominate as boys win Beloit Relays by 97 points

The Southeast of Saline Trojan track and field team posted another impressive result at the Beloit Relays on Friday, with the boys team winning yet another meet and the girls team finishing eighth.

Ashley Prochazka was the only individual podium finisher for the Lady Trojans with a third place finish in the 1600.

The team also collected a second place finish in the 4x800 meter relay, taking eight place on the day with 24 points.

The boys team continued their dominant run yesterday, winning the meet with 164 points, a staggering 97 points clear of their next closest competitor in Chapman.

The wins came pouring in for Southeast with first place finishes by Eddie McVay in the 100-meter dash, Chase Poague in the 200-meter dash, 110 and 300-meter hurdles, Dominic Jackson in the 800 and 3200, Luke Gleason in the 1600 and Grant Stumpf in the high jump.

The relay team also swept the board, coming first in the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays.

Rounding out the podium finishers, the Trojans got silver from Nakari Morrical-Palmer in the 400, Jackson in the 1600 and Gleason in the 800, and bronze from McVay in the triple jump, Morrical-Palmer in the 200 and Stumpf in the 300-meter hurdles.

It won’t be long before many athletes on this team take their talents to regionals on May 21st, where SES will look to cap off an incredible 2021 season.
