KANSAS CITY—One person was injured in a house fire Sunday in Kansas City.
Just after 3p.m., crews responded to a reported house fire in the 1600 block of Cambridge in Kansas City, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
Crews reported heavy smoke and fire on arrival and initiated an interior operations using multiple handlines.
Searches of the home came back all clear. One occupant escaped the fire. was evaluated and transported for further evaluation for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
No firefighter injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
