
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missour and have taken a boy into custody.
Just after 11.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to the 5700 block of Forest Avenue on a reported shooting, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
First responders found an adult male victim lying on the front porch of a home suffering from gunshot trauma. Responding officers immediately rendered medical aid until EMS arrived and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. The victim was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
Preliminary investigation indicates an interaction took place inside of the residence between family members. The interaction escalated into gunfire resulting in the victim being struck. A boy under 16 was taken into custody for further investigation. Police are not searching for any additional suspects at this time.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin gathering evidence and collecting witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide. Police released no additional information.
