Kansas sex offender out of jail after accused of new crime

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a registered sex offender on new allegations.

Just after 3:30p.m. Saturday, police arrested 23-year-old Jamichael Strahan of Junction City on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

The original charge in this matter is for aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.

His bond was set at $25,000. Strahan was out of custody early Monday, according to the RCPD. He has been registered as a sex offender since September of 2022 following convictions in Manhattan for Aggravated indecent solicitation of a child; Sex act with a child <14 in 2020 and 2022, according to the KBI Offender registry.
