SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating the death of two people at a home in Topeka have identified the homicide victim as Erica Beckem, 35, of Topeka and the deceased suspect as Travoris Steele, 26, Topeka.
Just after 11:45p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a possible shooting in the 900 block of SW Lincoln Avenue in Topeka, according to Police Lt. John Trimble.
First responders located Beckem and Steele who were deceased.
The Topeka Police Department is still investigating this incident as a murder-suicide.
