SALINA - Patrick James Maxey, 57, died Friday, January 22, 2021. &nbsp;

Mr. Maxey was an aircraft machinist, dedicated Union negotiator, and Army Veteran. He was an avid reader and artist, and loved spending his days painting with his daughter, Maggie, or playing Nerf guns with his son, Collin, who is 5. Patrick was also a history buff, and went back to school at the age of 55 to earn his Associates Degree in History. &nbsp;

Patrick was born March 3, 1963 in Reno, Nevada. Survivors include a wife, Heather Maxey; and son, Collin Sean Maxey, of the home; daughter, Maggie Dinneen-Maxey, of Kansas City; two brothers, Kevin of California and Thomas of Salina; three sisters, Teresa Shane and Angela Percival, both of Omaha, Nebraska; and Julia of Odenton, MD; sister-in-law Tara, of Salina; and many nieces and nephews. &nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Janice M. Maxey; brothers, Robert S. and Sean J. Maxey; and sisters, Susan Cowell and Kathleen Maxey. &nbsp;

Patrick was cremated and there will be no visitation or service. A private family inurnment will be at a later date. &nbsp;

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maggie Dinneen-Maxey care of Ryan Mortuary. The memorials will go to an educational fund for his son, Collin.&nbsp;
