CLARK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect in connection with a domestic violence incident in southwest Kansas.
Just before 11:45 p.m. July 25, deputies responded to a domestic violence call in eastern Clark County, according to a media release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, the suspect barricaded themselves inside a building on the property, resulting in an extended law enforcement response. Deputies worked throughout the night to safely resolve the situation while prioritizing the safety of everyone involved.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. on July 26, the incident concluded peacefully when the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries to law enforcement personnel, emergency responders, or members of the public were reported. The sheriff did not release the name of the suspect or possible charges.
The Ford County Sheriff’s Office, Meade County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, Garden City Police Department and Clark County EMS assisted with the arrest.
