Sheriff: Suspects caught in pickup stolen from rural Kansas home

 JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating three suspects on multiple allegations after caught in an alleged stolen vehicle.

Just after 7p.m. May 28, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Ford pickup that was being stolen from private property located at 142nd and T. Road in southeastern Jackson County, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.  A Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputy located the vehicle and three male subjects on 142nd between U.4 and V. Roads.  All three men were arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail.

Philip D. Lister, 61, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of felony possession of stolen property, possession of opiates, and possession of methamphetamine.

Michael Ray Youngs, 52, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of felony theft of property, criminal damage to property and possession of a hallucinogenic drug.

Thomas Wesley Denny, 41, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of felony possession of stolen property and criminal damage to property.
