A Salina Police Department officer was stabbed during an altercation with a suspect in the 2100 block of Meadowlark Lane.
The suspect, identified as Miguel Alberto Tostado, attempted to flee but was apprehended and arrested on the following requested charges including aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer.
The officer was treated and released at Salina Regional Health Center and is expected to make a full recovery, according to Salina Police Chief Brad Nelson.
