KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 8:30p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to report of a shooting in the 6900 block of Eastwood Trafficway, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
When officers arrived on scene, they located a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
While on scene, officers were notified an additional man had arrived to an area hospital by private vehicle and suffering from critical gunshot injuries.
Detectives were notified just before 1a.m. that the adult male victim who had arrived at the hospital by private vehicle had died, according to Gonzalez.
Preliminary investigation indicates a verbal argument ensued between several individuals and that argument escalated to gunfire. Detectives have made progress in identifying a person of interest.Homicide detectives have assumed responsibility of the case. Police have not released the victim's name.
