WICHITA COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 12:30a.m. Sunday in Wichita County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1980 Ford F350 driven by Walter J. Waldren, 54, Tribune, was westbound on Kansas 96 six and one half miles west of Kansas 25. The pickup traveled off the roadway into the north ditch and the driver overcorrected back onto the road. The vehicle entered the south ditch turning counterclockwise, rolled and driver was ejected.
Waldren was pronounced dead at the scene Price and Son's Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
