
WICHITA, Kan. — A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy was arrested Saturday, according to sheriff's department spokesman Branden Stitt.
Wichita police arrested 21-year-old Joseph Warkins of Wichita and booked him into the Sedgwick County Adult Detention Facility on April 12 on a requested charge of misdemeanor criminal restraint.
Warkins joined the Sheriff’s Office as a detention deputy in January 2026. The Sheriff’s Office has since terminated his employment.
