SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple charges after an arrest.
Just after noon Thursday, deputies with the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of SW 66th Street, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a woman and were giving commands for the man to exit the residence.
However, he jumped out a back window and fled the scene on foot. Other law enforcement officers, including a K9 Unit, arrived in the area to assist. The man was taken into custody in the 6600 block of SW Morrill Road.
Tanner B. Reed, 32, of Topeka, had a felony warrant for his arrest. Reed was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for his arrest warrant and requested charges that include possession of an opiate, possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with law enforcement.
