JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas woman on drug allegations.

Just after 11a.m. March 22, a  Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the 2012 Toyota Camry near 142nd and U.S. Highway 75, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

During the traffic stop, the deputy seized items believed to be drug contraband. The driver, Lora Lee Longstaff, 56, of Topeka, was arrested, transported to the Jackson County Jai and booked into the Jail on requested charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.  Additional substances were seized and awaiting testing; therefore, additional charges may occur, according to Morse.
