SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a hit-and-run  accident made an arrest.

Just before 2a.m. on Sunday, police were dispatched to traffic crash in the area of Kellogg and Interstate 235, according to officer Kristopher Gupilan.

First responders located a Jeep SUV and a Dodge Challenger involved in a crash. The occupants of the Jeep sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local area hospital for treatment.

Witnesses advised that the driver of the Dodge Challenger later identified as 28-year-old Rakim Dean of Wichita had fled the scene of the crash prior to officer’s arrival.

Officers were able to locate Dean and he was interviewed by investigators.  Speed was a factor in this crash.

Dean was transported to the Sedgwick County Jail and booked on requested charges of aggravated battery, battery and failure to stop at an accident.
