TOPEKA —The race for a Kansas U.S. Senate seat is getting nationwide attention. Television ads promoting Senator Roger Marshall or Democrat challenger Adam Hamilton are overwhelming viewers.

A couple of former Kansas GOP governors announced they are supporting Hamilton. Meanwhile, former Kansas U.S. Senator and governor Sam Brownback announced over the weekend his support for the incumbent.

On his social media page Brownback wrote, "Not sure why people keep asking if I'm voting for Roger Marshall next month. Of course I am. Kansas voters have a clear choice between Marshall and a liberal Democrat who wants to make Chuck Schumer majority leader and block President Trump's judicial nominees."

Democratic Governor Laura Kelly and former Democratic Governors Mark Parkinson, Kathleen Sebelius and John Carlin have endorsed Adam Hamilton. Former Kansas Republican Governor Mike Hayden and Bill Graves also endorsed Hamilton.
