KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just after 12:30a.m. Tuesday in Kansas City.
An Audi A5 was eastbound on Interstate 70 at a very high rate of speed, according to KCPD Office Jake Becchina. In the area of Interstate 70 and Prospect, the driver failed to negotiate the curvature of the highway. The vehicle traveled off the roadway to the right and rolled several times, ejecting the unrestrained driver and sole occupant of the from the vehicle.
EMS transported the driver to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
This is fatality #75 compared to #78 at this time last year, according to Becchina. The accident remains under investigation.
