
SEDGWICK COUNTY — A man has been charged in connection with a shooting that injured three teens.
Pharaoh Brown, 19 of Wichita, is charged with four counts of aggravated battery and one count of aggravated assault, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Just after 2a.m. May 3, police investigating an unrelated incident in the 400 block of W. Central Avenue in Wichita. around 2 a.m. when they heard gunshots nearby, according to a statement from Wichita Police.
First responders found an 18-year-old woman with a gunshot wound lying in a parking lot at an apartment complex in the 500 block of W. Central Avenue. Police also found a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl at the scene with minor injuries from the gunfire, according to police.
EMS transported the 18-year-old to a local hospital in critical condition. The other two girls were treated at the scene.
Officers later located Brown in a nearby apartment with a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was treated at a hospital and then booked into jail May 5, according to online records. Brown is due back in court May 19. He is being held on a $1 million bond, according to the district attorney.
