MANHATTAN Construction on Kimball and College Avenues will impact K-State football gameday traffic and parking throughout the 2020 season with lane closures and altered routes for fans to access parking lots around Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The current phase of the multi-year North Campus Corridor improvement project is rebuilding the intersection of Kimball and College to include dual left turn lanes for east/west traffic on Kimball as well for north/south traffic on College. This has resulted in reducing traffic to one lane in each direction on Kimball from Ranser Road to the west of the Kimball-College intersection to the east entrance of the Vanier Football Complex (Gate 6) on Kimball.  In addition, College Avenue is closed north of the Gate 3 entrance into the stadium’s west parking lot to the intersection of Kimball.

The City of Manhattan, Riley County Police, KSU Police and K-State Athletics are urging fans to use these available routes to access the parking areas around the stadium to avoid congestion:

Parking in the West Lot of BSFS

Access is available through Gate 5 off Kimball Avenue ONLY from the west (driving eastbound) or through Gates 1 or 3 off College Avenue from the south (driving northbound). Left turns off Kimball (driving westbound) will not be allowed into Gate 5.

Those who come to the stadium from the east side of Manhattan and wish to enter at Gate 5 to park in the west lot must detour north to Marlatt Avenue from either Tuttle Creek Boulevard or Denison Avenue, then proceed south on College to Kimball.

Parking in Lot 9, Peters Recreation Center, Agronomy and Vet Med is CLOSED

Public parking in Lot 9 and the north lot of the Peters Recreation Center will be closed for the 2020 season as will the Agronomy lot across from Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The reserved parking area on the south side of the Peters Recreation Center and the parking lots at the Vet Med Center are also closed.

Fans should note parking lots controlled by K-State Athletics and satellite lots operated by Kansas State University groups will open two hours prior to kickoff in conjunction with stadium gates. Tailgating will be prohibited in parking lots in order to reduce the risk of large gatherings.   Fans cannot bring or set up any items normally associated with a tailgate at their vehicle. Typical tailgate Items such as lawn chairs, coolers, grills, tent canopies, tables, etc. are prohibited. Further, fans may not congregate at their vehicles to eat, drink or socialize while awaiting to enter the game. Fans are encouraged to park, gather their game gear and finish drinks as they walk directly to the stadium to enter.

Parking in the east and west lots of Bill Snyder Family Stadium requires a pass for entry. Paid parking for fans with disabilities is available on a first-come, first-served basis in these lots. To gain entry for ADA parking, guests must display a game ticket, a state-issued accessible license plate or hangtag and present a disability card along with a form of personal identification.

General public parking is available for $20 in the auxiliary parking lots across and to the east of the stadium.  For more information click here.
