SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a burglary recovered firearms, narcotics and various other items and made an arrest.
On Thursday, police investigators with assistance from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a home in the 4400 block of SW 61st Street in reference to multiple ongoing burglary investigations, according to police spokesperson Gretchen Spiker.
During the course of the investigation two firearms, narcotics and various stolen items were recovered.
Some of the recovered items had been stolen from a business in the 3400 block of SE 21st Street.
While investigators were executing the search warrant, the suspect identified as 26-year-old Jacob T. Slusser returned to the home and was taken into custody.
Slusser was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of burglary, theft, possession of stolen property, criminal damage to property, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, use/possess w/ intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body and transport open container of liquor.
