KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 4a.m. Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino, a blue and silver Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle was eastbound on Interstate 435 near Holmes Street at an extremely high rate of speed. For reasons still under investigation, the rider applied heavy front braking, causing the motorcycle to overturn and it caught on fire.
The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police released no additional details. The accident remains under investigation.
