KANSAS CITY —Police are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 9p.m. Friday, patrol officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at 82nd Terrace and Troost, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
While in route officers received numerous calls about sounds of shots in the area. They also received an additional call that there was a victim in the 8200 block of Tracy. As officers arrived they located an adult male victim in the street. He was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and officers immediately began performing life saving measures.
KCFD EMS responded and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
This is being investigated as a homicide and there is no one in custody at this point. Preliminary information indicated there was an altercation between several individuals in the street that led to shots being fired and the victim being struck. Police have not released the name of the victim.
