KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly weekend shooting and have identified the victim as 47-year-old Leopoldo Garcia Pando of Kansas City, Kansas.
Shortly after midnight Satuday, police responded to a shooting in the 6500 Block of Kaw Drive, according to a media releas.
First responders found Pando with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This incident is under investigation by the KCKPD Major Case Unit. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). All tips remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.This is the 23rd homicide of 2023 in Kansas City, Kansas compared to 35 in 2022.
