SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal shooting in the 3900 Block of West Fairhaven in Wichita on December 29 have made an arrest.
On Wednesday, deputies with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested 34-year-old Joshua Dean Halstead and 28-year-old Jacquellyn Michelle Arthur in the 4300 block of west St. Louis Street in Wichita, according to Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick.
Just after 8p.m. Dec. 29, officers responded to a shooting in the 3900 Block of W. Fairhaven in Wichita. They found 43-year-old Bradley Michael Reece and 22-year-old Kayla Schmidt both of Wichita.
Reece died at the scene. EMS transported Schmidt to a local hospital. She died on New Year's Eve, according to Blick.
Both Halstead and Arthur have been booked at the Sedgwick County Detention Facility on requested charges of first degree murder and aggravated robbery.
