Kansas couple caught at scene of business burglary

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspect in connection with a business burglary.

Just after 2 p.m. Oct. 1, police responded to report of a business burglary at Berry's Arctic Ice 200 N. Kansas Avenue in Topeka, according to  Berry’s Arctic Ice, in reference to a burglary to Police Lt. Edward Stanley.

At the scene, officers located two individuals at the business that were believed to be involved with the burglary. These individuals were found to have items in their possession that were related to the burglary and they were taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Dawn M. Gilley, 38, and Shannon D. Maness, 39 were booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Theft from building.
