
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating a Thursday evening homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victim as 45-year-old Ian Walker, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Just after 5:30p.m. Thursday, patrol officers were dispatched to 54th and Euclid on the report of sounds of shots.

First responders located Walker in a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began performing life saving measures and ordered EMS to the scene.
Medics transported Walker to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. This is being investigated as homicide. Preliminary information revealed there was a disturbance in the street that led up to the shots being fired.
Police have not reported an arrest or released suspect information.
