What to know if you are going to the Chiefs champions parade

KANSAS CITY —If you are attending the Chiefs parade Wednesday there are a few things to remember.

The parade kicks off at at noon at Sixth Street and Grand Boulevard, working its way down Grand until finally heading west at Union Station. The rally at Union Station and the National WWI Museum and Memorial north lawn will begin at approximately 1:45p.m and last approximately 1 hour.

The National WWI Museum and Memorial will offer reserved parking and a discount admission rate for those who attend the parade.

The city will allow vehicle traffic to cross Grand Boulevard at 7th Street, Admiral Blvd, 13th Street, Truman Road and 18th Street until 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Pedestrians will be able to cross Grand at 9th Street, 13th Street, Truman Road, 18th Street and 20th Street.

KCATA is offering roundtrip service from five locations.

The Kansas City Streetcar will suspend operation beginning at 12:01am on Wednesday, February 15 and will reopen as conditions allow. The KC Streetcar will replace streetcar vehicle service with two RideKC Bus Links starting at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15. Ride KC bus operations for parade day will be free with very limited service. 

The Park and Ride shuttles will run from 7:30 - 11 a.m., and then again from 12 - 4:30 p.m. Riders are required to return to the drop off location for their specific shuttle and be prepared for wait at the most popular locations.

There will be parking restrictions along and around the parade route. These restrictions go into effect at noon on Tuesday, February 14, and extend into the late evening on Wednesday, February 15. Cars parked in temporary no parking zones will be relocated at owner's expense. Cars parked on the interstate will be relocated at owner’s expense.  If your vehicle has been relocated, you may call (816) 513-0688 for the location.  

Most lots around the parade site will be charging for parking, including the National WWI Museum and Memorial, Union Station and Crown Center. Please check the organization websites for more details. 

Travel to downtown KCMO by scooter or bike! There are three micro-mobility partners in Kansas City that provide an alternative way to navigate around town during parade festivities: RideKCBike, SPIN, and Bird.  
Please keep in mind: 

- Scooters and bikes will not be permitted to ride in road closure areas 
- Be mindful of pedestrians and do not ride on sidewalks 
- Obey traffic laws 

The Unified Government is also offering a free shuttle to downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Shuttles to the parade will be via (KCK Transit Metrocenter, 47th and State Avenue): 7:30 - 11 a.m.
