
SEDGWICK COUNTY—Police on Monday issued an alert for two dogs last reported seen around 1400 S Topeka in Wichita, according to a social media report from Wichita. Police. The dogs attacked a mother and child who are being treated at the hospital.
Animal Control and police were searching the area and asked the public for help to find the dogs. "if you see them or know who their owners are please call 911."
"This is an important example of why ensuring your animals are secure and in compliance with city ordinance. Dogs are required to be contained via leash, secure fence, or tether when outside. Microchips are required"
In 2025 603 dog bites were reported to Animal Services and 4945 dogs were lost or found and admitted. We urge the community to spay and neuter your pets and keep them secure.
