MCPHERSON —Law enforcement are investigating a reported bomb threat to schools in McPherson County.
Just after 9p.m. Wednesday, McPherson County Deputies received a report of a bomb threat to the Canton-Galva High School, according to a media release form the McPherson County Sheriff.
Law Enforcement and USD 419 school officials checked school property and did follow-up investigations concerning the threat. Police made contact with the suspect(s) involved. This threat was determined to be a prank communicated to a former student.
Charges are pending with this incident. The sheriff's office encourage anyone who hears of threats to the safety of the public to report it immediately, as was the case in this incident.
