JOHNSON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8p.m. Monday in Johnson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander driven by Michael Bradley, 58, Millersville, Maryland was northbound on Interstate 35 near the 95th Street Bridge.
The SUV struck a pedestrian identified as Joaquin Lopez Perez, 41, Kansas City, Kansas, who was eastbound attempting to run across the Interstate.
EMS transported Perez to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Bradley and a passenger in the SUV were properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
